Human Resources Assistant PTThis newly created part-time Human Resources Assistant position will provide support to the HR Manager as needed, and will perform HR-related duties in the following functional areas: HRIS, onboarding, record keeping, reporting, payroll prep, benefit and general administration, administrative support, and special projects. This position is currently 20-25 hours per week and has the potential to become F/T in the future.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
  • File documents physically/electronically and prepare HR correspondence
  • Maintain and upkeep Orientation Packages and Safety Presentation Handouts
  • Provide customer service to employees regarding various human resources programs and processes
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefit administration
  • Updates the Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed
  • Creates monthly birthday lists and mails cards to team members
  • Makes photocopies, faxes and scans documents, and performs other clerical functions as needed
  • Responds to employment verifications and unemployment requests
  • Creates and updates Human Resource documentation
  • Makes social media postings to FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Assists with annual wellness programs
  • Assists with recruiting office support staff
  • Serves as liaison with team members
  • Protects organization''s value by keeping information confidential
  • Participates in HR special projects and other duties as assigned by HR Manager

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • 2 years of experience in a Human Resources environment
  • Excellent Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint/Publisher, Word) and MS Access
  • Previous experience with human resources management systems (HRIS) a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and handle consistent workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • College degree with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone presence, with an ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and professionally
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills to ensure the completion of assigned tasks
  • Outgoing, friendly and proactive demeanor a must
  • Team-player attitude mandatory
